Overview

Under supervision of the Operations Manager, the Building Mechanics Specialist will perform a variety of skilled and unskilled activities involved in the operation and maintenance of the facility’s mechanical and electrical systems and general operations. 

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $17 to $30.00.

Responsibilities

  • Being a team player.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled predictive maintenance checks following manufacturers’ recommendation.
  • Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished.
  • Effectively communicate with all Operations team members to accomplish projects and tasks. 
  • Plan work to ensure cost effective use of labor and materials.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in good repair and properly stored. 
  • Follow/uphold all safety standards.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instruction and direction.
  • Experience in building repair, carpentry work, and painting.
  • Must have experience with power and hand tools.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements.
  • Required to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Displaying a professional and highly motivated demeanor.
  • Ability to perform duties in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
