Overview

Game Day Operations interns will be responsible for assisting the marketing department in the preparation and execution of all initiatives both prior to and in-game for Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Olympic Sports.

 

This is a paid opportunity that will allow students the opportunity to receive hands-on experience in sports operations and game day fan experience.

 

Internships are expected to be an 8-9 month commitment running end of August to beginning of May, with a varied weekly schedule based on events.

 

*This job is eligible for work study

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $14.00.

Responsibilities

  • Organization and creation of all materials needed on game day
  • Staffing marketing tables
  • Executing on-floor activations in-game
  • Locating contestants
  • Connecting with on-court recognition personnel
  • other duties determined on a game-by-game basis.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a full-time student at URI and in good academic standing
  • Availability to work on weekends and weeknights
  • Comfortable in a fast pace setting
  • Organization and Time Management skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and be adaptable to last second changes
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Interest in sports (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to learn
