Overview

Working with the Athletics Marketing Staff, Marketing Assistants will have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience in sports marketing, event planning, and game day fan experience.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $14.00.

Responsibilities

  • Learning to creatie and execute email campaigns
  • Understand the process for developing and executing game promotions and plans
  • Student interest research & data collection
  • Assisting in the planning and promotion of Junior Ruckus and Ruckus
  • Assisting in the Fan Engagement Operations for Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball
  • Learning what it takes to serve as the lead for select Olympic Sports
  • Exposure to the creation and execution of email campaigns
  • Learn about the development and execution of game day promotions and plans

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a full-time student at URI and in good academic standing
  • Availability to work a pre-determined number of hours per week
  • Organization and Time Management skills
  • General understanding of Microsoft Suite & Google Suite
  • Willingness to learn
  • Interest in sports (preferred but not required)
