Overview

The Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the kitchen and restaurants by maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, cleaning of equipment and work areas including the sweeping and mopping of floors. The Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher will also assist in general food preparation for events.

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $9.00 to $11.00. 

 

Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk.
  • Utilizes and implements M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures.
  • Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
  • Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils and pans after cleaning.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.

Qualifications

· Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

· Working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements.

· Possess valid food handling certificate required by state and federal regulations.
