Overview

The Premium Experience & Ticket Sales Manager serves as the primary point of contact for premium seating areas and group sales within Chartway Arena and S.B. Ballard Stadium. This position is responsible for servicing, promoting, and providing positive guest experiences for all events.  This position will be responsible for selling suites for all non-ODU events.  This position also assists with the day-to-day operations of the ticket office for all events at Chartway Arena, S.B. Ballard Stadium, and ODU Athletics.

 

This role pays a yearly wage of $51,000 to $55,000 plus Position is eligible for sales commission - 3% of net sales (tickets and F&B)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales and premimium services department at Chartway Arena and S.B. Ballard Stadium.
  • Create and implement ticket sale plans for all special events at Chartway Arena.
  • Oversee sales goals and revenue generataion for Chartway Arena events.
  • Work with promoters and clients on creating assets to sell for concerts, family shows, and special events.
  • Serve as the primary premium seating/suite contact for events at Chartway Arena and S.B. Ballard Stadium.
  • Serve as the primary group sales contact for select Chartway Arena events, including inbound and outbound sales and servicing of these groups.
  • Serve as the primary suite and premium areas sales contact for special events at elect Chartway Arena events, including ticket sales, catering, and servicing of these groups.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects to capitalize on upsell opportunities and maximize revenue.
  • Create and develop new ticket sales and marketing concepts to generate new revenue through group sales and premium spaces at Chartway Arena.
  • Work with food and beverage vendor to ensure that catering orders are entered and set for events.
  • Prepare sales reports related to groups and premium seating.
  • Manage and oversee part-time sales staff and interns for the sales office.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create and expand initiatives that enhance the experience for guests, artists, promoters, tour personnel, and venue staff.
  • Manage and daily operations of the Chartway Arena Box Office, including supervision of part time staff, answering phones and emails, assisting customers at the windows, and troubleshooting customers’ ticketing issues.
  • Assist with the management of ODU Athletic ticket operations, customer relations, and game day box office management for all ticketed sports including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.
  • Manage with implementation of season ticket timelines for ODU football and basketball including preseason renewals, promotion of new sales, seat allocations, compliance, ticket printing, packaging, and delivery.
  • Oversee with financial settlements related to sellers and seller recaps.
  • Responsible for cash handling, credit card processing, and box office controls.
  • Process financial reconciliation such as daily reports, event statements and monthly reports.
  • Provide professional customer service to patrons and clients and oversee customer relations for the office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Extensive weekend and evening work required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a group sale or ticket sales in an arena.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of marketing, sports management, communicatons, or business administration. Relevant experience may be substituted for the specific degree fields listed.
  • Experience with Paciolan or Ticketmaster ticketing system preferred.
  • Expereince with Salesforce or CRM's is preferred.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player who is a creative and proactive problem solver.
  • Exceptional hospitality and customer focused service skills is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls and emails.
  • Team player who is a creative and proactive problem solver.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and have web-related background. Experience with Adobe applications such as InDesign is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended number of consecutive days.
