Overview

UBS Arena is seeking a Manager of Engineering & Maintenance to lead our dedicated team in maintaining and enhancing our state-of-the-art facility. This role is pivotal in overseeing the painting department and the overall campus grounds, ensuring that both aesthetics and functionality meet the highest standards. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in facility management.

Slary ranage is: $65,000-$75,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Supervise engineering and maintenance operations, including painting, repairs, and cleanliness, to ensure excellence in both front of house and back of house areas.
  • Manage the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and Building Management systems, ensuring Class A standards are consistently met.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking and timely completion of work orders, and maintain a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP).
  • Oversee subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Event Services Department to meet building needs for events and assist in managing energy conservation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, arena policies, and government codes, licenses, and permits.
  • Direct the overall upkeep and aesthetic management of the campus, including landscaping and exterior maintenance.
  • Lead capital and facility improvement projects, from development through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze operational problems and oversee emergency repairs, maintaining a focus on efficiency and quality resolution.
  • Support the Vice President of Building Operations in coordinating vendor service contracts and consulting services.
  • Assist in developing and enforcement of the workplace safety program in collaboration with the Engineering & Maintenance team, adhering to OSHA and local safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in facility management.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in facility operations, with a focus on maintenance and repairs.
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance, CMMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed for event coverage.
