Overview

The position Ice Attendant is responsible for adminstrative operations of the ice arena. They will handle monetary transactions at the rink and provide excellent customer service to all guests at the Boss Ice Arena.  The rink attendant will report to the Assistant Rink Manager/Director of Ice Rink.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.00.

Responsibilities

  • Enters and processes all sales via cash, debit and credit card transaction using a cash register or other point-of sale system in a retail environment with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Balance the cash register, making change, and recording purchases.
  • Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Maintains excellent customer and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Know and understand the products that are offered.
  • Scoreboard/microphone operation.
  • Ensures that all work areas are clean.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work will in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-drive environment.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.
  • Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays in addition to traditional business hours.
  • Must be able to work in a loud noise environment at times.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Basic understanding/willingness to learn hockey rules and regulations.
  • Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
