Overview

The Pantry Captain is responsible for overseeing the management and organization of the pantry area. This role involves maintaining inventory, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies, and coordinating with other staff to meet kitchen and service needs.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate between $25 plus tips

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the event pantry area
  • Move and place rental equipment
  • Assist in planning and preparing pantry/sanitation area for events 
  • Move event equipment from commisary truck into event space(s) as needed
  • Loading of commisary truck when needed at the end of event
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to meet daily operational needs
  • Oversee sanitation during event
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or plates.
  • Ability to carry and move at least 50lbs
