The Event Manager will manage the event planning and execution of conferences, trade shows, meetings, exhibitions, social events, and special projects to achieve business objectives, including oversight of events ranging from 50-50,000 attendees.
The successful candidate will develop and manage a comprehensive operation plan for all setup tasks, floorplans, estimates, gather event logistics such as floor plans/layouts of exhibits/displays, room sets, and oversee vendors and service providers to meet event expectations and goals.
The successful candidate will also be required to quickly develop knowledge of the MBCC Event Services, venue, and service contractors needed to successfully execute an event. In addition, the Event Manager will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Venue Operations, Event Operations, Public Safety/Transportation, Finance, Human Resources/IT, Venue Partners, and Stakeholders to strategically plan and successfully execute all event activity.
This role will pay a yearly salary of $56,000 to $66,000

WORK SCHEDULE:
The regular work hours is a 5-day work week Monday through Friday; however, this will fluctuate based upon the needs of events and/or projects. Must have the ability to remain available 7 days per week, work long and irregular hours that may vary due to event functions and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
