Overview

This position will work out of CFG Bank Arena on the Partnership Activation team within OVG Global Partnerships; the sponsorship and activation arm of Oak View Group (OVG).  This role is suitable for an exceptionally organized and detail-oriented professional with a desire to lead the delivery and execution of high-value sponsorship deals. This individual must be solution-oriented and have a partner-first mentality. The Manager, Partnership Activation will be responsible for managing contractually obligated income (COI) of assigned partnership accounts, the execution of assigned account assets, and support of overall departmental needs.

This role will pay a yearly salary of $70,000 to $80,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the servicing of all sponsorship accounts under the direction of the VP, Global Partnerships
  • Manage the planning and execution of a portfolio of partnership contractual elements, including traditional media assets, promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs
  • Manage a thorough onboarding and partnership launch process, managing team and brand expectations, communicating timelines across entities, and ensuring fulfillment of all contractual assets
  • Lead regular status meetings with partners to review campaign progress, upcoming deliverables, and overall metrics, while providing ongoing analysis and recommended changes if warranted.
  • Work closely with internal departments (like operations, marketing, etc.) on overall partner needs and asset fulfillment
  • Track and report proof of performance for partnership assets to generate impactful mid-year and end-year partnership recaps to exhibit ROI to partners
  • Develop and maintain partner recap template and content, as well as process to keep internal resources organized
  • Maintain accurate reporting processes, partnership trackers, and partner database management for all partner assets
  • Create case studies of highly successful activations for reference internally and externally
  • Lead the planning and execution of partner engagement events and gifting initiatives
  • Develop and build relationships with partners through exceptional customer service
  • Responsible for contributing to overall department revenue goals through current sponsor partnership renewals and upsell opportunities
  • Performs all other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sports business management, communications, or other relevant field or a combination of related education and work experience
  • 3-5 years of professional sponsorship experience in a high-performance sponsorship environment; Sports, Entertainment and/or Arena Industry experience preferred.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand brands/partners’ business models and identify creative solutions for how to solve for indicated KPI’s. 
  • Strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, forward-thinking, analytical, and extremely well organized. 
  • Highly driven self-starter, with the ability to work as a team or independently on projects. 
  • Strong self-awareness, time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines. 
  • Positive attitude with the ability to manage long-term projects as well as quick turn assignments. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentational communication with strong attention to detail and design. 
  • Strong interpersonal & relationship-building skills. 
  • Willingness to work the hours required to fulfill the commitments of the role 
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
