Overview

Ensemble Arts Philadelphia is looking for a talented and creative Baker. This role will collaborate with the culinary team in creating specialty baked goods and assist in preparation of an assortment of bakery offerings.

 

This role will pay a Hourly of $22.00 to $24.00.

This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and production of a wide range of bakery products, including bread, pastries, cookies, event pastries and other specialty items.
  • Follow established recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and taste.
  • Measure and weigh ingredients accurately, and mix, shape, and mold dough as required.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, ensuring their cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Decorate and finish baked goods with precision and attention to detail, following specific guidelines.
  • Assist in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating ingredients and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to DOH and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and creative baked goods for seasonal promotions or special events.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, adhering to sanitation/health regulations and company policy.

Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience baking in professional kitchen. 
  • Strong interest in learning new techniques and recipes.
  • Basic knowledge of baking, baking times, and ingredients.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
  • Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
