Overview

Under general supervision, the Catering Sales Coordinator provides assistance and administrative support to the Director of Premium and Catering Manager; assisting in the coordinating of menus & services within venue suites and catering spaces. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $24 to $30.

Responsibilities

  • Represents the Hopsitality team with regards to communication to guaranteed and potential guests & clients.; responds to inquiries regarding catering services and sends out food and beverage materials and proposals. 
  • Assists Catering Team in the preparation of event services; reviews documents and contracts for completeness and accuracy; assist in following up with guets and clients with regards to invoicing and payment for services rendered.
  • Create and maintain event files/Banquet Event Orders/Invoices
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve catering sales initiatives, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless guest service
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in an administrative support position, preferably in a sales capacity in a hospitality setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in  business administration, hospitality management or other related
  • Additional years of experience may be substituted for formal education Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize work and effectively resolve workload issues
  • Learn and understand the venue operations to best assist guests and set the Operations team up for success.
  • Make basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) either manually or by operating a calculator
