Overview

The Security Officer reports to the Security Supervisor. In this role, you will assist the Security Supervisor. This position operates under direct supervision and mentorship of the Security Supervisor. Security Officers will be responsible for protecting BOK Center and Arvest Convention Center and visitors, staff and vendors on a 24 hour, 7 day per week basis. 

 

This role will pays a wage of $18.00 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience, cleet certification, and other factors.

This position will remain open until May 23, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and operates closed circuit surveillance, access control and fire alarm systems.
  • Vets all visitors/contractors, verifies appropriate credentials and prevents unauthorized access to the premises.
  • Patrols all properties as required and ensures, in a friendly and professional manner, the security of employees, contracted building partners and visitors.
  • Detects and resolves immediate safety and criminal issues; responds to the scene of an incident and acts as an emergency first responder if required.
  • Acts as property first responder to alarms, medical calls, property damage, etc.
  • Maintains absolute confidentiality on sensitive issues.
  • Maintains accurate notes and log information as required; ensures that all pass-on information is communicated to the next shift.
  • Completes all activity logs, incident reports, repair forms and other documents in a clear, concise, and legible format in a timely, efficient manner. 
  • Performs person and package/parcel screening according to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts detailed internal investigations into incidents and provides detailed, objective reports for each shift or incident.
  • Attends briefing and training sessions to ensure complete knowledge of policies and upcoming events.
  • Greet all clients, employees, guests, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Follows established security protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Represents the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work day, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to climb stairs, walk and stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. unaided.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills a must.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work well unsupervised.
  • Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift a variety of objects.
