Overview

The Sales department seeks an talented, creative, and motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for sales. This internship is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in sales, offering hands-on experience in group sales, premium sales, and fulfillment while working for the industry’s leading venue management company in sports and entertainment.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.75.

This position will remain open until July 4, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and execution of corporate sales plan for the DLTCC annual Trunk or Treat community engagement event.
  • Participate in developing and implementing premium and group sales initiatives for FSU Basketball, graduations, family shows, concerts, and other events.
  • Prospecting and cold calling new leads for group and premium sales.
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to prospects and current clients over the phone and in person.
  • Assist with updating guest lists and event sheets.
  • Assist with brainstorming ideas for revenue generating opportunities at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
  • Help with the planning and organizing of various sales initiatives and programs.
  • Sit in on group and premium sales meetings.
  • Interact with clients on event days.
  • Interact with Tucker Center staff from other departments when working on various projects.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be a college junior, senior or graduate student.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours a week, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be proficient in working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Must be well organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at once.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Recommended for Sport Management, or Business Majors.
  • Active involvement in on-campus civic and/or leadership activities highly desired.
