Overview

The Sr. Manager, Marketing & Digital Strategy will support the award-winning Moody Center’s marketing team. This role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of event-related marketing, promotions, and advertising functions designed to sell tickets to Moody Center non-UT events. This role will lead all constantly evolving digital marketing need and strategies including email, website, and app initatiaves. This position will also support cross-functional responsibilities related to Partnerships, Premium Sales, Booking, and Community Relations. The Sr. Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $70,000-$85,000.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute effective marketing campaigns specific to each concert, family show or event to maximize attendance and ticket revenue.
  • This includes but is not limited to media planning-negotiating-buying, promotion implementation, publicity, database/ email marketing, social media strategy, trade media allocation, digital marketing, campaign budgeting and settlement preparation.
  • This position will execute the internal set up and management of exclusive venue presales.
  • Drive CRM strategy for all events, employ consumer data segmentation, targeting, and testing.
  • Strategize and oversee digital marketing efforts including but not limited to digital ads, email marketing, email design, campaign performance and optimization and ensure all industry policies and best practices are followed.
  • Oversee Special Projects (such as College Concert Clubs, La Lista, and others as assigned).
  • Oversee social media initiatives, content creation and strategy in collaboration with the Assistant Marketing Manager.
  • Assist with the creation, management and activation of venue branding, marketing and communication initiatives including but not limited to departmental budgeting, annual marketing plan creation, community relations programming and internal/external venue publicity efforts.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Moody Center marketing team to effectively promote events through all venue assets, sponsorships, promotional partnerships, community efforts, media partners, trade partnerships on a show-by-show basis.
  • Organize and communicate event marketing efforts and initiatives including but not limited to: marketing material (admats, digital assets, etc.) distribution, PR and media needs, and ticketing promotions.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with national and local promoters, record labels, touring personnel, and media partners.
  • Liase between concert and event marketers and internal Moody Center teams.
  • Work closely with arena programming department on industry relationship building, client sales and marketing materials and event marketing research.
  • Act as marketing point of contact for Moody Center partnerships department to ideate and facilitate contractual marketing obligations.
  • Manage team campaigns and projects as handler of project management platform, Asana.
  • Serve as on-site marketing department representative for designated events (e.g. duties may include media escorting, sponsor and/or promotional partner implementation, media partner implementation, etc.).
  • The Sr. Manager of Marketing and Digital Strategy will oversee the Assistant Marketing Manager, who runs all social media efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • This is an on-site role officed out of Moody Center.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited university, Area of Study: Marketing, Communications, Sport and Entertainment, Sales, Business Administration or Related Field, is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ of related work experience in music, festivals, sports or entertainment industry.
  • Experience with large-scale events in a venue or concert setting of a similar size (15,000 seats) is highly desirable.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate across all departments while remaining calm.
  • Experience effectively managing and leading a team to drive results and create team cohesion.
  • Creative and driven with ability to ideate and execute on unique marketing opportunities.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under consistent pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts, edit and proofread all marketing material.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and ability to embrace Moody Center core values.
  • Must be a great communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Basic knowledge of SalesForce Marketing Cloud.
