Overview

The Video Production Intern will learn all aspects of our production facility and assist in various hands-on aspects of live event production. They will gain Control Room familiarity including routing and patching sources and learn how to “prep” the Control Room for game-nights.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00.

This position will remain open until July 18, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all aspects of our production facility and assist in various hands-on aspects of live event production.
  • Gain Control Room familiarity including routing and patching sources.
  • Learn how to “prep” the Control Room for game-nights
  • Act as production assistant on events—assist with lighting, camera set-up, handle lavaliere microphones, etc.
  • Become familar with set-up and strike of AV equipment within building
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Open to college juniors, seniors and graduate students studying in a related concentration.
  • Ability to do basic video editing and graphics by using Final Cut or similar editing platforms; Adobe Photoshop and/or AfterEffects preferred.
  • Strong Computer skills with a working knowledge of video production equipment: BlackMagic Ursa cameras, teleprompter, Grand MA3 lighting console, Midas M32 audio console, microphones, etc.
  • Familiarity with Control Room operations preferred.
  • Professional attitude and communications skills required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand or sit for long hours during events; talk and hear.
  • This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed for events.
  • Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility (requires personal mobility), lifting, carrying, moving, climbing and moderate to loud noises.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • This position requires minimal stooping and lifting, but substantial walking.
