Overview

The Director, National Sales, will document and formalize the company’s sales strategy, focusing on standardizing sales techniques across multiple venues. This role will oversee the National Sales Team based out of Austin, TX and requires a proven track record in strategic sales leadership, particularly in B2B markets. Additionally, the VP will assist OVG Premium leadership with project development needs as they arise.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $150,000-$185,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Design and roll-out a standardized sales training program for all OVG Premium employees
  • Collaborate with local Directors and OVG Premium leadership to identify training needs and tailor content accordingly
  • Deliver regularly scheduled training sessions (in-person and virtual) and create supporting materials
  • Aggregate best-in-class sales & service techniques to be shared amongst OVG Owned & Operated venues
  • Create a development program to identify, teach, mentor, and grow high-performing employees into future leaders
  • Develop organization-wide rankings & events to celebrate and reward top-performing sales & service people
  • Lead, mentor, motivate, and inspire the National Sales Team to drive performance and achieve success against established KPI’s
  • Set team goals, monitor performance, and provide 1:1 coaching for the National Sales Team
  • Join appointments and calls with prospects of the National Sales Team to aid in skillful deal-closing
  • Work alongside sales leadership across OVG Premium to provide training and ongoing development to maximize revenue production
  • Collaborate with Arena Premium Leadership to ensure the National Sales Team has all of the necessary information to assist with sales & service campaigns
  • Report on key metrics related to the performance of the National Sales Team against their KPI’s
  • Collect software-related feedback from the National Sales Team to be utilized by the Revenue Operations Team for future project development
  • Assist OVG Premium leadership with future project development, including but not limited to: venue design, financial pro forma, pricing, and presentations to key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant sales experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of management with demonstrated success
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficient in Salesforce Sales Cloud & Ticketmaster Archtics
  • Deep knowledge of, and ability to build relationships with, C-Level Executives
  • Skilled in negotiations and delivering an effective pitch
  • Exceptional listening, creativity, strategic, and written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work nights/weekends/flexible schedule for events
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • College degree in Sport Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
