Overview

The Manager of Ticketing will report directly to the General Manager and or the Assistant General Manager. This position will provide Plaza Theatre clients with comprehensive event ticketing management services. Primary responsibilities include providing venue-specific information to promoters, event submissions, event financials, ongoing event administration, box office operations, supervising staff, day of show production, and settlement. Product specialization will include all Ticketmaster products including Host, Archtics, TM1, TM Entry, and Account Manager.

 

This role will pay an annual salary of $75,000 to $80,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Build all ticketed events in TM Host and Archtics.
  • Manage Box Office team members including hiring, scheduling, and training part-time staff.
  • Provide initial venue-specific information to promoters such as venue specs and requirements, scalings, and financials.
  • Submit events to Ticketmaster for programming; manage all inventory requirements, special offers, and programs on behalf of venue and promoter.
  • Setup scanners, gates, rules, exceptions, load events, and archive with the Ticketmaster Entry system.
  • Provide all Post Event Ticket Reports to Finance, General Manager, & Promotor as needed for Settlement
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships while meeting and exceeding client service level agreements.
  • Ensure the venue is maximizing its use of Ticketmaster products and services.
  • Responsible for day of show box office support for venue, promoter, and customers with night of show settlement and reporting as required.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify the root cause of issues including the research of client/customer complaints about service levels.
  • Serve as manager on duty for assigned events and shows.
  • Collaborate with arena teams such as Finance, Marketing, Operations, Events, and IT.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management, sports management, business administration or another related field is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of increasingly responsible box office/ticketing experience, preferably with a theatre or entertainment facility.
  • Direct experience with Ticketmaster ticketing system suite of products including Host, Archtics (prefer a super user), TM1, TM Entry, and Mobile Technology.
  • Experience training and managing staff.
  • Highly skilled in conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, yet comfortable completing tasks independently.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Minimal Travel (<20% travel): May be required to travel.
  • Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Position requires the ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended number of days, as well as being able to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building.
