Overview

The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for providing marketing and communications support services for Greensboro Complex, including First Horizon Coliseum and its other venues. The Marketing Specialist will assist with numerous marketing department functions including social media content creation and management, graphic design projects, website maintenance, advertising, promotions, public and media relations, and a wide variety of internal and external marketing initiatives with clients, event planners and other Complex departments. This position reports to the Director of Marketing/Communications & Public Relations.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$27.00

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support social media marketing efforts to promote the Greensboro Complex and its events. Daily updating of all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok. Generate creative social media content to increase awareness of upcoming events, programs and initiatives.
  • Graphic design duties including creation of website and social media graphics, e-mail marketing campaigns, electronic marquee displays, signage, ads, flyers and other printed materials.
  • Daily updating of Complex website.
  • Maintains database of past ticket purchasers and manages e-mail marketing campaigns and customer service notifications utilizing database.
  • Assist the Director of Communications & Public Relations with publicity campaigns, press conferences and media events as well as client interviews at radio stations, television stations and other news organizations.
  • Plan, review and implement advertising campaigns for Greensboro Complex events, clients and support organizations.
  • Purchase show advertising and track spending for advertising settlements.  
  • Assists with meet and greets involving cast members and show personnel.
  • Coordinate intern schedules and street team marketing efforts.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Must possess strong oral and written communications skills. Experience in creating compelling social media content and managing multiple social media platforms. Working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Office and graphic design programs. Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and adapt to constantly changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with other divisions within the facility, promoters and the general public. Ability to work a flexible work schedule.

 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED BY STATUTE OR REGULATION: Driver's License Required

 

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: General office equipment including copier, fax, computer, telephone, two-way radios, Ipad.

 

Education: Bachelor's Degree


Experience: 1 to 3 years of related Marketing and Communications experience.
