Overview

This is a casusal position based on the QMJHL Hockey Schedule. Ice Crew are responsible for assisting the Building Attendants while resurfacing the ice, aiding Tenant’s game day staff with on ice events, maintain/clean all hockey related areas as required. Applicants must be strong skaters, supply their own skates and helmet and be a minimum or 16 years of age. Ensuring all work is being done safely in accordance to the TD Station JHSC, the Workplace Violence and Harassment course, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Worksafe NB Guidelines.

 

This is a seasonal role from September 19, 2025 and will end on December 31, 2025. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.90 CAD (per CBA).

This position will remain open until December 31, 2025

Responsibilities

  • Showing up on time, follow the check lists and game day lists provided
  • Prepare the Net Peg Holes for pegs prior to and following Zamboni flood
  • Strong understanding of safety issues related to the position while working with and around Zambonis
  • Follow directions from both Building Attendants and Clients to ensure needs are met during the game
  • Ensure rubber mats from dressing rooms to ice are swept and mopped prior to the players use
  • Must be able to sweep, mop, shovel and use squeegee on ice properly
  • Follow TD Station safety instructions when laying carpets on ice and repairing ice as required
  • Assist Building Attendants in any maintence issues such as broken glass or other building related issues as needed.
  • Be aware of and report immediately, any issue on or off ice that may be dangerous to themselves, other TD Station staff, Patrons and Clients

Qualifications

Physical requirements

  • Ability to skate well
  • Lift 50lbs plus on ice
  • Bending over, kneeing on ice
  • Able to work in cold conditions
  • Able to work weekends and evenings when required
