Overview

Under the direction of management, the Housekeeping Supervisor will lead specific crews within our housekeeping team in a hands-on role to provide and maintain a clean, safe environment for patrons, clients and other guests. Individuals should be proactive leaders with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to maintain and ensure consistency and high standards. With our fast paced, dynamic, 24/7 operation we have various crews within morning, evening, event and overnight shifts; ongoing training in assigned tasks, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc. will be provided.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00 to $22.00

Responsibilities

  • Following health and safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure all areas were completed and inspected according to standards.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to perform assigned tasks to the best of their abilities, ensuring efficient completion.
  • Provide a clean event space before, during, and after an event.
  • Communicate and manage inventory of designated equipment and supplies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated areas, tasks and shifts.
  • Maintain department equipment as necessary, both operationally and in a neat and orderly manner for storage.
  • Perform customary Housekeeping/Janitorial duties when necessary: Clean floors (both hard floors & carpeted), restrooms, furniture & equipment, walls, windows, fixtures, doors, and other areas and items throughout the facility.
  • Work on various preventative maintenance projects to maintain cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the facility.
  • Operate an assortment of equipment including: forklift, buffer/burnisher, rider sweeper/scrubber, walk behind scrubber, blower, vacuum, pressure washer and others as needed
  • Ensure the housekeeping team follows safety protocols and policy and procedures.
  • Provide the necessary guidance to staff to give the cleanest possible venue to patrons and clients every day.
  • Mix and prepare cleaning products; clean facilities interior and exterior; vacuum, sweep, mop, clean and wax floors. Ensures a safe environment for patrons; removes liquids and debris from walkways through the building during events. 
  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms.
  • Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and countertops. 
  • Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots, walkways, and facilities; empty waste receptables. 
  • Perform additional staff functions for events. 
  • All employees will exercise resource stewardship and report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work flexible day, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday hours.
  • Time management skills to complete cleaning tasks promptly within scheduled time.
  • Experience in the housekeeping/janitorial field for a minimum of 2-5 years.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and techniques, as well as their correct usage and safety procedures is necessary.

  • Ability to work closely with others
  • Must be able to work in a fast past environment, with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain consistency and high-quality service dealing with high volume and back-to-back cleaning tasks
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and identifying areas that require special attention.
  • Strong communication and organization, with the capability of multitasking in a fast-paced environment is essential.  
  • Ability to speak Spanish highly desired but not required.

  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach and climb stairs throughout shift as needed
  • Must be able to lift 25+ pounds throughout the shift
  • Ability to move heavy (100+ pounds) wheeled carts.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures
  • Must be comfortable with heights
  • This role requires a considerable amount of movement around our large open air facility, in various weather conditions and temperatures, following up with assignments, and individuals.
