Overview

This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable, real-world experience in event operations, production, and planning at a premier 5,000-seat multi-purpose venue. The Events Intern will learn how to handle challenging situations which will require strong communication skills and problem-solving. The position is designed to provide opportunities that create learning and development experiences to enhance the intern’s future career prospects.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $19.00

 

This position will remain open until November 28, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Support management to execute events, ensuring that all deliverables meet objectives, and adhere to the intended strategies, timelines, policies, and guidelines.
  • Learn about pre-event planning, day-of operations, and post-event wrap-up activities.
  • Understand the back of house/  administrative duties needed for event management such as uploading invoices, schedules, and reports; and responding to event inquiries via email or phone.
  • Participate in departmental and building meetings as needed.
  • Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Event Manager that will assist in the growth and development of the intern.

Qualifications

  • Acurrent college junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field, is desired.
  • Availability to work a flexible, events driven schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing is required.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
