Overview

The Senior Vice President, Hospitality Operations oversees venues in an assigned large geographical area. The management responsibility includes overseeing RVP’s and DGM’s, developing high performing GM’s, financial success and operational excellence, successful guest experience and performance of the venue, while maintaining positive client relations. SVP’s are also tasked with driving client retention and new business through their geographic scope with and through their Regional VP’s. This individual is responsible for overall management, promotion, and operation of their assigned facilities, including financial and personnel awareness.

 

This leader is an orchestrator who builds a vision, a plan and a team to set our clients up for success with account growth and, therefore, OVG Hospitality growth. This individual must have the ability to lead a cohesive team in the busy and growth oriented industry while bringing credibility to the leadership function. Ideal candidates will possess qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the OVG mission of positive disruption.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $220,000-$260,000 and is bonus eligible

Responsibilities

  • Communicates frequently to clarify understanding of expectations, facilitate open dialogue within OVG leadership and ensure that all company resources are clearly utilized to achieve the regional operating goals.
  • Ensures highly productive relationships and partnerships with clients, contract administrators and venue owners for the benefit of the organization by communicating frequently through conference calls, venue site visits and attendance at board meetings when necessary.
  • Holds GMs accountable to core business measures, driving business growth and client retention strategies. This includes having a constant "selling" of our company's value to our clients.
  • Oversees the process and protocol around deal construct, yield management and risk assessment.
  • Maintains strong relationships and conducts frequent calls with venue users/promoters to drive content to the region.
  • Identifies new opportunities to grow existing business as well as new business within the region. Understands all aspects of OVG360 to sell multiple solutions.
  • Ensures corporate policies and procedures are being utilized and recommends improvements to the President.
  • Participates in and nurtures broad networks of industry alliances to exchange ideas, knowledge and information in support of change initiatives.
  • Assists RVP’s and GMs in preparing, implementing, and monitoring a detailed program budget. Approves reports, budgets, revenue projections, asset management, etc., as needed.
  • Analyze financial reports and conduct regular one-on-one meetings and calls with venue GMs to review financial performance.
  • Responsible for successful management and fiduciary performance, ensure compliance of company programs and assists with venue and menu pricing to include rental rates and menu pricing for all assigned venues.
  • Facilitate and oversee the successful on-boarding of new accounts/operations.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, facility management, food service management, public administration, hospitality or related fields.
  • 15+ years progressive and responsible experience working in managed facility, food and hospitality industry and or related venue industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, etc
  • Considerable knowledge of event solicitation and presentation, maintenance, custodial and safety requirements, public relations, advertising and media relations, box office operations, personnel, food and beverage operations and office management.
  • Working knowledge of governmental administration and responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • 10+ years of managing people leaders that oversee various functions.
  • Experience with Labor Unions required.
