Overview

The Prep Cook team member is responsible for supporting kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assembling food items, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food is handled safely and efficiently. This role is essential to ensuring fast and high-quality service during high-volume tournament days.

 

This is a seasonal role from February 9, 2026 and will end on June 9, 2026. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $21.00

 

This position will remain open until May 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, fruit cups, and side dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Wash, chop, slice, and portion ingredients (vegetables, meats, cheeses, etc.)
  • Assist with basic cooking tasks such as heating, grilling, or assembling hot items as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized prep stations throughout the shift
  • Label, date, and properly store food products following food safety guidelines
  • Follow all health department regulations and company sanitation standards
  • Assist with stocking and replenishing kitchen supplies during service
  • Work quickly and efficiently during peak meal periods and tournament rushes
  • Support cooks and kitchen supervisors with additional tasks as assigned
  • Ensure proper use of gloves, hair restraints, and safety equipment

Qualifications

  • Previous food prep or kitchen experience preferred (but not required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions/recipes
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • Must be able to work early mornings, long shifts, weekends, and tournament days
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
  • Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
