Overview

The concessions bevarage Hawker serves beer and canned alcohol items to guests located in the stands. This role requires the ability to carry up to 22 kg (50 lbs) and walk-up and down multiple flights of stairs. Hawkers must be proactive and willing to rotate through different sections as needed. This is a highly social position suited for someone who is confident and excels in communication and customer service. This position is a weather exposed position and involves being outside exposed the elements.

 

This is a seasonal role from May 1, 2026 and will end on September 7, 2026. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.85 CAD and is tip eligible

 

This position will remain open until September 7, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Carries an assortment of alchoholic and beverage items for in seat sales to guests
  • Ensure bins, carrying trays, and bags are clean and ready for use
  • Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking patrons’ identification according BC liqour guidelines
  • Processes portable POS transactions
  • Upholds inventory integrity and adheres to cash handling policies and procedures
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
  • Maintains a friendly, out going, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Is adaptable to customer needs
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures including established food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Dedication to attendance of scheduled events including the ability to arrive on time in uniform
  • Maintains clean and professional appear meeting OVG and Nat Bailey Stadium uniform standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to obtain Serving it Right certification.
  • Three or more months’ experience in food service industry preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests
  • The ability to carry up to 22 kg (50 lbs) and walk-up and down multiple flights of stairs
