Overview

The Creative Designer plays a key role in bringing our brands to life across professional hockey, live entertainment, and venue marketing. From major concert campaigns and game-day visuals to motion graphics, video content, and corporate presentations, this role helps shape how fans, partners, and stakeholders experience the brand.This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary creative role best suited for a strong graphic designer who also has experience or interest in motion design and video. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who enjoys contributing ideas and visual direction, not just executing briefs, and who is energized by sports, music, and live events. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile campaigns in a fast-paced environment where creativity and cultural relevance matter.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$65,000 CAD

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of creative assets across hockey, live entertainment, and venue marketing.
  • Contribute creative ideas and visual direction during campaign planning, not just execution.
  • Produce high-quality graphic design for advertising, social media, retail, signage, in-venue displays, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain and evolve brand standards across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Create and support motion graphics, animations, and short-form video content for digital and in-venue use.
  • Adapt static creative into motion or video formats where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on multimedia projects.
  • Design professional pitch decks, presentations, and corporate-facing materials.
  • Balance creativity with clarity and structure for executive, partner, and sales audiences.
  • Support internal communications and business development materials as required.
  • Work closely with Brand, Social, Digital, and Marketing teams to support integrated campaigns.
  • Provide creative recommendations and problem-solving across projects.
  • Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, live-event environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a graphic design or multimedia design role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design excellence, with examples of motion and/or video work.
  • Experience in sports, music, live entertainment, or consumer-facing industries is considered an asset but not required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Working knowledge of After Effects and/or Premiere Pro; motion and video experience is required at a foundational level.
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas, not just execute direction.
  • Comfort balancing high-energy fan-facing creative with polished corporate materials.
  • Organized, adaptable, and energized by sports, music, and live events.
