Oak View Group

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.

Overview

The Director of Human Resources will lead the human resources and organizational development efforts at OVG Hamilton, overseeing operations across TD Coliseum, FirstOntario Concert Hall, and The Studio. This individual will be responsible for building a positive and inclusive workplace culture, driving talent acquisition and retention, and implementing HR strategies that align with the company’s values and objectives. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director of Human Resources will work closely with department heads to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce while upholding OVG’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all three venues. In addition, this individual will play a pivotal role in the launch of Hamilton’s new professional hockey team, leading the build-out of the business operations team from the ground up—including organizational design, recruitment, and onboarding of front-office staff across ticketing, marketing, partnerships, and fan experience.

This role will pay an annual salary of $105,000-$125,000 CAD and is bonus eligible.

Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Pension matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and statutory holidays).

This position will remain open until August 7, 2026.

  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning to attract and retain top talent across TD Coliseum, FirstOntario Concert Hall, and The Studio.
  • Lead employee relations initiatives, conflict resolution processes, and performance management programs.
  • Implement policies and programs that foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment at all venue levels.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and employee rewards programs to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with venue and department leadership to identify learning and development opportunities that support staff growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario labour laws, employment standards, and company-wide HR policies.
