Overview

The Lead Concession Runner is available for all events to stock and replenish concession stands.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $21.00 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting with receiving and distribution control for the venue.
  • Ensure a proper transfer process of products between locations, including follow-up documentation.
  • Assist in performing maintenance; responsible for concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance, portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting. Ensure manifested equipment is in location.
  • Conduct a walk-through of the commissary, warehouse, and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of all existing concessions locations, geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
  • Performs opening/closing responsibilities of the bar/beer stand; ensure and maintain the area is operational.
  • Responsible for changing kegs / bibs / CO₂ tanks / propane tanks / repairing beer stands.
  • Responsible for the initial preparation and servicing of the bar, which includes restocking beer, ice, and CO₂; cleaning; and other duties assigned by the bar/beverage management team.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the bar area, beer coolers, refrigeration, and storage areas to comply with health code standards, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
  • Stocks and rotates all coolers and maintains cooler temperature log daily.
  • Checks and assists the bartender in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies, i.e., stir sticks, napkins, glassware, etc., for both the immediate bar and beer stands.
  • Take pride in personal appearance, reporting to work in neat and clean clothing and maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be a team player and assist other team members when business needs dictate.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Operates golf cart and/or company truck occasionally to move equipment around the grounds.

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years acting as a Runner or similar role in hospitality and food and beverage environments.
  • Must have a valid driver license to operate company vehicles.
  • Must have knowledge or be willing to be trained how to change kegs / bibs / CO₂ tanks / repair pvc drain lines / change light bulbs / etc.
  • Preferred knowledge on draft systems – soda / beer.
  • Must have knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time and work long hours if needed; maintain excellent attendance.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the team members will regularly be required to: Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
