Oak View Group

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.

Overview

The Receiver is responsible for managing the intake, inspection, and distribution of all food, beverage, and operational deliveries within a high-volume event environment at the Enercare Centre. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all incoming products are accurate, high quality, and aligned with purchase orders while supporting seamless execution across concessions, pop-ups, and catering operations. Working in a fast-paced, multi-hall venue, the Receiver coordinates closely with culinary teams, operations managers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery flow during move-in, live event days, and load-out. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage large-scale inventory across multiple service locations, including pop-ups, bars, and satellite stations. The Receiver is also responsible for maintaining proper storage standards, including temperature control, product rotation, and distribution to outlets such as merchandiser fridges, BOH storage, and event-specific activations. Accuracy in documentation, adherence to food safety standards, and clear communication with internal teams are essential to success in this role. This position is key to ensuring operational readiness, minimizing product loss, and supporting consistent product availability across all food and beverage outlets during large-scale events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$24.00 CAD

Benefits for part-time roles: pension matching.

This position will remain open until July 31, 2026.

  • Ensure all deliveries are received within scheduled dock times and the event timeline.
  • Accurately record and track all incoming products.
  • Label and date all items according to FIFO standards.
  • Maintain organized storage areas (dry storage, coolers, freezers).
  • Support inventory counts and reconciliation during and post-event.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or food & beverage operations (high-volume or event experience preferred).
  • Experience working in large-scale venues, convention centers, or multi-outlet operations is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control practices, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and product rotation.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control (food handler certification preferred).
  • Ability to read and verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight timelines (move-in, live event, and load-out).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with operations, culinary teams, and external vendors.
  • Basic computer skills (POS systems, inventory tracking, email communication).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items.
