Overview

The Frontyard Holiday Festival Support Crew Intern plays a key support role in the successful operation of the Dr. Phillips Frontyard Holiday Festival. Working closely with supervisors and the food and beverage team, this position assists with a variety of operational and hospitality responsibilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and enjoyable guest experience. This is a highly flexible, hands-on role that may include barback duties such as stocking beverages, replenishing supplies, maintaining cleanliness of service areas, and supporting bartenders during peak service periods. Team members will also assist with utility and operational tasks, including event setup and breakdown, inventory movement, waste management, equipment transport, and general support wherever needed throughout the festival.

 

Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable performing physical tasks, and are willing to jump in wherever support is needed. This role requires a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service while helping create memorable holiday experiences for our guests.

  • Event Setup and Breakdown: You will learn exactly how a major holiday festival is built from the ground up and packed away.
  • Fast-Paced Food & Beverage Skills: You will get hands-on experience working behind the scenes at busy bars and food stations during peak hours.
  • Customer Service Standards: You will discover how to keep event areas clean and organized to make sure guests have a great experience.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: You will learn how to think on your feet, solve quick problems, and work with a team when plans change fast.
  • Venue Safety and Operations: You will understand how to safely move equipment, manage inventory, and run an event without any accidents.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00.

 

This role is expected to last from November 9, 2026, and will end on January 14, 2027. 

 

This position will remain open until December 18, 2026. 

Responsibilities

  • Support bartenders and food service staff by stocking and replenishing supplies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready service areas.
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and daily operational needs.
  • Transport inventory, equipment, and materials throughout the venue.
  • Support supervisors with various operational and logistical tasks.
  • Help maintain safety, cleanliness, and festival standards.
  • Provide friendly and professional support to guests and team members.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and assist in multiple areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited institution, such as a trade school, community college, or undergraduate/graduate program.
  • Past bar or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, businesslike, and respectful manner, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages) as they relate to product inventory.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor festival environment.
