The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, relationship-driven, and highly proactive. They do not wait for leads to come to them. Responsibilities

Membership Sales & Business Development

  • Own the membership sales process from prospect identification through outreach, tour, follow-up, and enrollment.
  • Meet and exceed established monthly and annual membership, dues, and initiation-fee goals.
  • Develop and execute proactive prospecting strategies to consistently generate new qualified leads.
  • Build targeted prospect lists across key audiences, including local professionals, business owners, executives, UNC alumni, faculty and staff, parents, young professionals, community leaders, and organizations.
  • Conduct engaging and personalized club tours that connect membership benefits to each prospect's lifestyle, professional needs, and interests.
  • Maintain consistent and strategic follow-up with prospects through phone, email, text, events, and other sales channels.
  • Identify opportunities to re-engage previous prospects, former members, and other warm audiences.
  • Develop referral strategies that encourage current members and community partners to introduce prospective members.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Maintain a healthy and active sales pipeline with sufficient qualified prospects to support membership growth goals.
  • Generate leads through outbound prospecting, networking, community engagement, partnerships, events, referrals, and targeted campaigns.

  • Must be able to work primarily on-site at the Carolina Club and regularly be engaged within the Chapel Hill and greater Triangle community.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally with availability for membership events, networking opportunities, university activities, game days, and other club experiences.
  • Some local travel within the market may be required for networking, prospecting, and partnership development.
