The Performance Dining Lead is responsible for assisting with the overall effective operation of the Football Performance Dining department. Including food preparation and production, inventory, total compliance with service policies, cleaning, safety, guest service, employee supervision, and closing duties. The Performance Dining Lead will provide limited oversight of employee performance issues. The majority of the Performance Dining Lead time will be spent actively mentoring, training, and helping employees meet company quality standards, as well as promoting a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. This is a key position for the effective operation of our business; the employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled based on business needs. In order to monitor all Football Performance Dining Meals, extensive and continuous walking and standing are required. A critical aspect of this position is the ability to instill a positive and enthusiastic quality to the work environment, consistent with the prevailing atmosphere of the sports and entertainment industry, while exceeding guest expectations.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 - $20.00.

This position will remain open until December 25, 2026.

• Responsible for leading the setup of meals for the CSU Football Team and ensuring all meals are fully prepared and pre-set prior to the scheduled meal start time.
• Set-up duties include verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to staff, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met, and verifying that the location is clean and all equipment is operational.
• Responsible for ensuring effective operation of the location during the event: monitors inventory/product levels, anticipates extra stock/product, oversees employee breaks, and signs in/out employee sheets and employee meals.
• Ensure event staff are aware of workplace expectations; provide ongoing assistance and mentoring to event staff.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative workplace environment by working side-by-side with staff and volunteers.
• Reinforce procedures and practices through repetition; lead by example; and provide ongoing constructive feedback.
• Report disciplinary issues, accidents, incidents, illnesses, or serious performance issues to the FOH Performance Dining Manager immediately.
• Support staff through mentoring and training.
• Disciplinary or ongoing performance issues should be deferred to the manager on duty.
• Lead the closing of shifts; ensure location, equipment, and utensils are clean; product is properly stored or returned to Commissary; perishables are refrigerated.
• Responsible for documenting in writing any problems with equipment or needed repairs at the end of the event.
• Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of lead or supervisor experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, businesslike, and respectful manner, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate permit if required by state and federal regulations.
• Thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc.
